Dr. Braceras brings over 20 years of US and Global pharmaceutical industry experience creating, developing and leading medical affairs and clinical development organizations in a wide range of therapeutics areas. Rogelio has led the registration, launch and commercialization of several Cardiovascular and Metabolism drugs – most recently Jardiance® (CV indication) and Eliquis®.
Rogelio has held a series of positions of increasing responsibilities in major pharmaceutical companies including: Sanofi, Novo Nordisk, Novartis and Pfizer. Most recently, he served as the US Head of Clinical Development and Medical Affairs, Metabolism at Boehringer-Ingelheim, where he was responsible for the cardio-metabolism pipeline which includes Type 2 / Type 1 Diabetes, Heart Failure, Chronic Kidney Disease, NASH and Obesity. Rogelio is currently the Vice President, Medical Head Primary Care Business Unit, North America at Sanofi.
After receiving his MD degree from the Central University of Venezuela, he completed his fellowship in Neurology at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, University College London UK. Rogelio also attended Harvard Business School.
